GCA seeks a dynamic individual to fill the role of Administrative and Operations Associate to contribute as a core team member of GCA’s South Asia Regional Office, Dhaka for contributing to our global mission on climate adaptation.

The Administrative and Operations Associate will report to the Country Manager while working closely with other members of Dhaka Office.


  • Day-to-day office support including filing, organizing logistics and facilities to ensure the smooth running of the office complying with GCA’s processes and procedures.
  • Assist the GCA Regional Office in meetings, organizing international events, hosting missions in Bangladesh etc.
  • Provide the administrative support necessary to ensure the effective running of the GCA operations. This can include contracting service providers, supporting the preparation of travel arrangements, managing correspondence, and arranging meetings, taking notes, among others.
  • Routine liaison with the Department of Environment (DoE) and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) as the host organization of GCA South Asia Regional Office. Provide administrative support along with follow-ups with relevant ministries, as and when required.
  • Support Health and Safety and Risk Assessment management and implementation, liaising with respective program officers.
  • Support the smooth operation of projects through direct project support, administration and logistics.
  • Practical support of Headquarter-based finance team as required for smooth operation of Dhaka Office.
  • Responsible for organizing events.
  • Perform any other relevant tasks of an organizational or substantive nature as directed by the supervisor according to evolving GCA programmatic and project needs.

Job requirements


  • Minimum of a Bachelor degree in relevant disciplines.
  • An excellent team worker with the confidence and initiative to work independently
  • An organized, methodical and thorough approach to work and achieving objectives
  • A proactive approach to tasks, with a desire to take responsibility and take initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communicator; open and inquisitive
  • A helpful, friendly person who is keen to support colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Excellent ability to form and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of people
  • An eagerness to learn and a commitment to your own Continued Professional Development
  • Strong command over Bengali (for translation and communication purposes) along with English.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly of MS Word, and e-mail application.
  • Good planning skills demonstrated through good time management, capacity to plan, and ability to deliver tasks on time and be flexible to work with teammates across various time-zones.
